Where do you purchase your new releases from? When Jordan’s drop, are you going in store or online? At one point is was easy for me to log on to Foot lockers website and grab a pair of sneakers from my phone once stores went to raffle tickets. Now most of the stores shifted to the use of apps. The even use apps for the in-store raffles now.
My go to app is always the SNKRS app by Nike because I am mostly purchasing Jordan’s, not because I love it. It can be a lot more complicated now purchasing through the app and waiting to see if you will move from pending to purchased. A lot of times the app will not work and will immediately say sold out or will knock me out of line a few times before it says sold out.
When sneaker shopping on release day, if I cant purchase via SNKRS, I just move onto the resale market. I have attempted to use the Footlocker app but it works just as bad as their website on release day. If I use the Foot Locker app I will try to enter the online raffle but the signing in process often has problems. I have not used the Champs, East Bay, and Foot Action apps because they are owned by the same company and all malfunction alike. I often wonder why they are not in one app since you can use the same log-in information.
If you have ever looked at the Finish Line app, it puts you on a holding screen just on the website and you sit and wait for the app to put you in line. I also don’t mind using the adidas app. I have had some luck and it is pretty easy to use. I recently found out about the adidas Confirmed app which also features some new releases and someof the higher end adidas collaborations like Yeezys and Sean Whiterspoons.
Now if I feel like purchasing resale, I have had great outcomes on StockX. I really enjoy seeing what the sneakers are going for and if there is an increase or decrease in the process. It resembles the stock market and the value of the sneakers changes daily. A lot of resale retailers base their prices on the current market value on StockX.
There are other resale apps like GOAT, which I do not care for and Sneaker Con. I have recently heard of the unboxed app which I need to look into. All in all, depending how bad you want a pair of sneakers in that moment, there are a lot of apps. But my go to’s are SNKRS, adidas, and StockX for new releases. What Apps do you use and how do they work?
