The world is opening back up to more travel. When I worked at the airport, I would see old people travel in slacks and loafer, some of the ladies with church usher heels. They would also say, flying used to be an event when people would dress up and care about their appearance. Flying is a luxury. But, people moved into being comfortable which included pajamas, bonnets, leggings, etc. Most people state they want to be comfortable traveling- as comfortable as possible with small seats and limited legroom. Whatever the reason, majority of people do not dress to impress as often. I believe you can still be comfortable and look nice without the pajamas and bonnets. As we venture back outside, I think people will show off what’s in their closets more while going through the airport. People have to make up for lost time with their clothes and shoes. I reached out on Instagram to see what people go through the airport in as far as their sneakers. Aside from comfort, one other thing determined what was in your feet, if you have pre-check or not and required to remove shoes when going through security.
